Attention:  All Dancers
 Subject:  Important Dates during the dance season

For the 2010-2011  dance season, classes commence on Saturday Sept. 11th , 2010  and complete on Friday May 27th, 2011.   This accumulates to 35 weeks of instruction.

Picture day:  Saturday May 28th, 2011

Rehearsals for the year-end recital: 

May 30th, 31st and June 1st 2011

Year-end recital (Wilfrid Laurier University):  

Recital is Friday June 3rd 2011 at 7 pm and Sat June 4th at 1:30 and Sunday June 5th at 1:30  

Note: To be exempt from the year-end recital and thus not needing a costume, the office must be notified on or before December 18, 2010, otherwise the full cost of the costume, for each class taken, will be incurred.

The studio will be closed:

Hallowe’en:  October 31st, 2010
March Break:  March 14th - 18th 2011
Christmas: Dec 18th 2010 - Jan 2011 inclusive

Good Friday: April 22nd 2011
Victoria Day: May 23rd 2011

   Attention:  All Dancers
   Subject:  Expectations and Policies

Studio doors will be open 10 minutes prior to start time of the first class of the day.

Parents must pick up their children inside the building, as we are not responsible for the children once they leave the class.

Children must be picked up promptly at the completion of the class.  It is impossible for teachers to be able to supervise the children when they are suppose to be teaching.

Aim to arrive at the studio 10 minutes prior to start time.  This allows for time to change, washroom, etc.

During rainy or snowy days, remove and place boots on the boot tray upon entering.  Please do not leave them in middle of the floor.  Wet floors are dangerous for the dancers.

Have a personal bag (with student’s name on it) in which to place personal belongings.  Hang the bag on a hook in the change room. This avoids lost items.

Eat and drink food in the lunch room area.  Throw away garbage in the trash can. Please help to keep the studio clean and tidy.  It benefits everyone who uses it.

Subject:  Make-up for Dancers

                All of our dancers need to have make up for competition.  A general order will be placed so that all dancers are using a consistent product / colour.  Please email me what you require for this dance season and I will bill your account accordingly. 

                Note:  If you wish to have your ConfiDance hoodie and / or pants embroidered with your name on it you must bring the items to the office with the name safety-pinned to each article and your payment of $3.50 per item.

Subject:  Hoodies & Pants

ConfiDance hoodies and pants are still available for purchase.  If you are interested please see office personnel for sizing and placing an order.  The cost for these items is $80.00 (tax included).  Hoodies are $45 /each and Pants $35 / each.

Attention:  All Dancers
Subject:  Dress Code

                We ask that all dance students come dressed to dance class in black dancewear with hair pulled back from the face.

Hip Hop Dancers:  Please wear clean running shoes to dance class.

Jazz / Tap/ Acro: (Parents of 5 to 8 year olds): loosen shoelaces in the tap shoes and replace them with a tight piece of black elastic. This would greatly assist the teachers.

Ballet: Wear ballet slippers only to dance class.
